Located in Chennai, Kovalam, also known as Covelong, is a small fishing village that is famous for beach, which takes the name of Covelong Beach and is one of the most recommended things to do in Chennai, India. Covelong Beach is located approximately 30 minutes away from hotels such as Turyaa Chennai.
Covelong was once conquered by the French in 1746 but later fell in to the hands of the British in 1752. This beach town is known for its fishing activities which tourists can partake in.
