Arugam Bay is beautiful and popular bay located on the east coast of this tropical island. If you’re planning to surf in Sri Lanka, Arugam Bay is the best place. What to do?
Arugam Bay is great for surfers and even swimmers. The water is completely safe for swimming, just be careful not to bump into any surfers and their boards.

Main Point is a great place to surf or watch people doing it. Whiskey Point is another recommended surfing spot for strong swimmers. Peanut Farm is ideal for surfing beginners.
Swimming
Pottuvil Point and Crocodile Rock are great if you just want to swim and enjoy the beautiful refreshing ocean waves.
