History
In the 19th century, there was a pirate attack at this bay, and the British Army defended the land and did not let the attackers gain control of the land. Thus, the bay was named Repulse Bay.
About
Now, this beach is known for its clear blue water and gentle waves. Many a tourist or local can be found lounging on the sand at any time of the day, and the water is the perfect temperature to dip into, ranging from 17 degrees to 25 degrees.
Location
If you are residing at one of the Tsim Sha Tsui hotels the likes of Park Hotel Hong Kong, then the bay is less than one hour away.
What to expect
Give yourself one whole day at the beach. Pack up plenty of food and beverages, the usual beach essentials and make the trip to Repulse Bay. The evenings can get crowded at the beach, with youngsters tossing a ball around, but none of it will matter as you will get to view the gorgeous sunset the bay has to offer.
