An island, belonging to Thailand which is yet another one of those pieces of heaven on earth, Koh Samui, is for those seeking a relaxing holiday rather than one filled with thrills and excitement. The island is best explored within 5-6 days, however, if you are running low on time 1 day too can get you a lingering experience.
The island
Koh Samui is renowned among travellers for its unspoiled natural beauty. The shores at sunset in Koh Samui is indeed a wonderful and magical sight. Chaweng beach resorts are quite popular among tourists and are readily available here.
The best beach
If you are spending a mere 24 hours on the island, then head over to the best shores, Lamai Beach straight away! Despite being lined with many shops, restaurants, and resorts, the area around seems to look charmingly less urban. Unlike Chaweng beach, crowds are rare here; the ideal beach for a relaxing afternoon.
Visit Koh Tao
Koh Samui is full of amazing things to see, even underneath the ocean! The waters at Koh Tao are perfect for snorkelling or diving. In case you have no diving experiences, there are a few diving schools along the way that provide a brief training session to help you out.
Dining in Koh Samui
Lamai, Boput, and Chaweng are recommended for meals when in Koh Samui. You can either opt for lunch or dinner at hotels like Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort or simply hit one of those restaurants by the beach.
