A bit of history
An island that was unseen by the Thai people themselves, Samui, was put on the map by the King in the 1800s. Nevertheless, trading between China and Samui had commenced many years before the island was introduced to the world.
The beaches
Koh Samui is an island popular for its many pristine beaches and many a Samui resort the likes of Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort. Encircled by turquoise blue waters, and foliage on the land side, the island is an exclusive tourist destination in Thailand. Chaweng and Lamai beaches are much loved here.
The temples
There is no part of Thailand without a temple or two to explore! So, why not check out the captivating temples and marvel at the craftsmanship of sculptors and painters at temples like Wat Plai Laem and Wat Khuranam.
The night markets
