Getting there
Kalpitiya Beach is a 3-hour drive from Colombo but if you want to try out public transportation in Sri Lanka, then you will be able to board any of the buses plying along the Colombo – Puttalam road. Although, understand that the 1st part of your journey will take around 4 hours to complete and from Puttalam, you can hail an air-conditioned bus that will have you dropped off at Kalpitiya.
