Best time to dive
The ideal time to dive into Bodu Thila for an experience like no other would be between December and April when Manta Rays visit the spot for cleaning and feeding on plankton.
Species to keep an eye out for
From the common dolphin to whale sharks and tiger sharks, Bodu Thila offers sightings of over 200 marine species. If this piqued your interest, make sure to arrange a dive tour during your stay at Eriyadu Island Resort which is just 50 minutes away.
Depth
The reef begins at 7 metres below sea level and reaches up to 23 metres in depth. The western side of the reef though goes all the way down to 30 metres. The cleaning station for Mantas can be found at 25 meters depth.

The waters here are quite clear offering unparalleled views of the underwater world. It is the best place to dive in Maldives if you are an experienced diver.
