The region of Krabi is known for having some of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches in Thailand. Among these, few can top the Ao Nang Beach and the shorelines that surround it. So, if you’re planning a trip to the region, here’s a quick guide on how to make the best of it.

Reaching the Beach
In order to reach Ao Nang, you first need to reach Krabi itself. There are plenty of flights that land at Krabi International Airport from various locations in Thailand, so this isn’t a big issue. From here, you can get either a bus or boat to Krabi Town and then continue along your way to Ao Nang Village.

The selection of available Ao Nang hotels and resorts is massive. Simply put, there’s something for every budget here. You can stay at a budget bungalow, a mid-range boutique, or a luxury resort like the Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort – the choice is yours.
Ao Nang Beach
Now that everything else has been sorted out, it’s time to enjoy the beach itself. Ao Nang Beach is about a kilometre-long and is best visited during the sunset. The beach rarely gets crowded, making it the perfect destination if you want a little peace and quiet. The water here is also perfect for swimming and a number of other water sports.
The Surrounding Beaches
Now, Ao Nang isn’t the only beach around – there are plenty of other strips of coastline all around the region. Some of these are well worth a visit if you’re here. Some must-visits include the lively Tonsai Beach and the exciting Phra Nang Cave Beach.
