The palm fringed sandy beaches of the tropics have many tourists fleeing the frostbitten winters of the world in search of warmer climes and sunny days. Such tourists will often find the beaches of Pattaya welcoming and comforting. A visit to Pattaya resorts is incomplete without a visit to one of the surrounding beaches. If you opt to stay at a beachside resort such as one of the AVANI Hotels and Resorts in the area, you don’t need to worry about visiting the beach. However, for those whose accommodation is found inland, there are some wonderful beaches that one would regret failing to visit.
The Jomtien Beach is one such beach. It’s worth the visit not merely because of the beach itself, but because it is in a vibrant area just beyond South Pattaya that is replete with restaurants and pubs. Therefore, after a brisk swim, a day of sunbathing or even a walk on the beach, you can retire to one of the many establishments in the area for a refreshing drink.
Another wonderful beach is found off the coast of Pattaya, and on the small island known as Koh Lan. Also known as the Coral Island, make sure to take your snorkelling gear when sailing over there for the coral reefs are beautiful. If not, at least indulge in a glass bottom boat ride to enjoy the beauty of the marine world.
One of the most obvious beaches that should be visited is the Pattaya Beach. This Beach is impossible to miss for it is located close to the centre of the city. This is a wonderful place to unwind and relax after a long day of exploration, with an ice cream in one hand, and your sandals in the other. On the other hand, if you seek beautiful, well preserved and unspoiled beaches, you can’t do much better than the Naklua and Wong Amat Beaches located outside North Pattaya.
