Surin Beach
Regarded as a cleaner and more tranquil alternative to Patong Beach, the pristine Surin Beach is a one kilometer stretch of white sandy beach. The clear blue waters are clean and excellent for para-sailing, water-skiing, and jet-skiing. Unlike Patong Beach, Surin Beach is calm and you can just laze around the beach all day long in absolute tranquility. Layan Beach
Layan Beach is the epitome of a chilled out beach and is among the best attractions in Phuket – no crowds, no noisy boats, no touts; just the calm beach. Located on the west coast of Phuket, Layan Beach is actually the northern stretch of the Bangtao Beach. Layan Beach boasts an undisturbed stretch of golden sandy beach with rows of luscious coconut palms. The waters at Layan Beach are known to be calm and, therefore, excellent for swimming and wading into the water. The beach has many hotels, such as the Anantara Layan Phuket Resort, as well as restaurants and cafes so you can grab a bite to eat or sip a cocktail while chilling at this marvelous beach.
Kata Beach
Unlike the other two beaches, Kata Beach is much more active and commercialized, with many tourists, locals, and vendors visiting the beach on a daily basis. Surprisingly, however, the beach is still one of the most pleasant stretches of beach in Phuket. The golden sandy beach, lined with Casuarina trees, is simply awe-inspiring, and the waters are great for all manner of water sports, especially surfing. The beach is home to many restaurants, such as the Kata Mama Seafood, and bars, such as the famous Ska Bar.
