Finding your own secluded beach in Phuket is considered to be something of a miracle. However, if you know where to look, it is possible.
Ao Sane Beach
Home to three secluded beaches and massive granite boulders, Ao Sane is a great place to get away from the beach crowds. Commonly used for mooring yachts between November to May, the area is also a popular spot for snorkelling.
Nui Beach
One of the most breath-taking beaches on the island, Nui Beach is a small strip of sand that can only be accessed by walking along a jungle path from the more crowded Nai Harn Beach. Maintained by the Water Beach Club, there’s also a small restaurant and bar for beachgoers.
Yae Beach
This beach is secluded enough to, thus, relatively crowd-free throughout the day, while still being within close proximity of several luxury hotels in Phuket, such as the scenic Anantara Layan Phuket Resort, for instance. The water isn’t good for swimming due to all the large rocks, but it’s great if you just want to chill on the beach. The road to the beach is quite difficult to navigate so beachgoers are advised to leave before sunset.
Ao Yon Beach
A picture-perfect beach with swaying palms, clear water and white sands, Ao Yon is, in fact, a tiny beach-side village, however, its managed to stay undetected by most tourists. Locals like to come here on weekends, but otherwise, weekdays are pretty quiet and chill.
