The province of Bali in Indonesia is famous across the world for its tourism industry and attracts thousands to its shores annually. While the locations of Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, Ubud and Nusa Dua are well known tourist destinations, all for different exotic reasons, the province of Bali is home to many other destinations worthy of being visited.

While the majority of the tourist destinations lie in South Bali with Ubud at the centre, Northern Bali is not as enthusiastically explored, which is a shame as the Northern part of the island constitutes some amazing sights in its own right. One such destination includes the Lovina Beach located in Kalibukbuk, a tranquil village in the Buleleng Regency of Bali. The village of Kalibukbuk is found a mere ten kilometres from the Singaraja City.
What makes Lovina Beach a special place to visit is its popularity for dolphins that prompts tourists staying at even an Ubud hotel to make an excursion to North Bali. The ocean close to the beach attracts numerous families of dolphins and dolphin sightings are reported often around dawn. Therefore, tourists residing in a luxury retreat Bali are advised to make arrangements to make it out to see before dawn and enjoy the multitude of dolphins in the area.
The coastal area itself is home to a number of small villages including Kaliasem, Temukus, Banyualit and Tukad Mungga and being located in the Northern part of the island means that the beach enjoys relative seclusion from the throngs of crowds that visit the province. Since most tourists prefer to reside in more famous tourist destinations such as Ubud, hotels such as the Uma Bali which is located at the heart of Bali, are ideal.
