Mui Ne is a touristy district in the South Eastern region of Vietnam , the once isolated town is located in the Binh Thuan province. The name Mui Ne has a interesting origin. Many years ago fisherman in the area would be stuck in storms and seek refuge in a cape called “Mui” in Vietnamese the word Ne means hide. Hence the name Mui Ne. Mui Ne is home to stunning beaches making it a popular choice among tourist.
As the popularity of the town grew the resorts in Mui Ne have also been expanding to cater to the needs of tourist. One resort that stands out among others however is Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa. The resorts set in the area try to preserve the charm of the old village by building them within beautiful tropical gardens and , however tourist these days have outnumbered the locals in the region. The warm weather in Mui Ne makes it an ideal place for swimming, however the southern bit is the most ideal part as the rest is predominantly used by fishermen.
The strong sea breezes also make it an ideal place for kite surfing and wind surfing. November to March is considered the ideal time for surfing as the skies are clear and there are strong winds from mid day till late evenings making it possible to stay out in the beach all day. The waters are ideal for kite surfers as there are no rocks and there are professionals around the area who help beginners.
Apart from lazing around in the beach the tourist could also enjoy the atmosphere in the Mui Ne village market where one can find many local produces such as inexpensive clothes among other things. The ideal time to visit would be early mornings.
