It’s no secret that the first thing that comes to mind at the mention of ‘Seychelles’ is the thought of scenic beaches. Gifted with tropical white sandy beaches with all manner of mesmerising backdrops, this idyllic archipelago is the place to be for a beach vacation. Here are some of the top beaches worth visiting during your stay in the Seychelles.
Beau Vallon
This is the perfect spot if you’re travelling with family and if you’re staying nearby at the Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas. This beach has little to no currents and no dangerous rocks that you need to worry about. Instead, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy diving, kayaking and other watersports under the watchful eye of the local lifeguard service.
Anse Major
Located within the Morne Seychellois National Park and an hour’s drive from many Seychelles resorts, this hidden beach can only be accessed by foot or by water taxi. Reaching the beach on foot gives you the chance to enjoy a good trek along hilly paths along which you can take plenty of photos. At the end, of your journey, you’ll be rewarded with a calm, quiet beach all to yourself.
Anse Marron
This is another beach that requires a steep hike of about several and is thus ideal if you’re looking for a full outdoor adventure. Once you come through the forest you’ll be greeted with an almost-perfect semicircle of granite boulders that leave a turquoise-blue saltwater pool. Make sure to take a guide with you to reach this hidden but magical spot.
Anse Cocos
Another beach that’s only accessible by foot, this is one of the most secluded beaches in the Seychelles with a rustic feel. While the ocean waters here aren’t safe for swimming, you can still take a dip in one of the protected natural pools. You can also venture along the nearby hidden trials to discover remnants of ancient buildings.
